What is NLP?
Neuro- represents the brain/mind through which we
process our experiences.
Linguistic - refers
to language or communications (both verbal and non-verbal).
Programming- this
refers to the ability to process our mental experiences and choosing to model
our responses in ways that will bring our goals forward.
Neuro-Linguistic
Programming (NLP) is often described as the science of excellence. In practise
NLP is a powerful set of tools (presuppositions, patterns, techniques, and
observation-based theories) for the therapist and client to use to
make beneficial changes. NLP seeks to educate people in self-awareness and
effective communication and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behaviour quickly and
ecologically.
What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) , sometimes known as tapping, is a
powerful self-help tool that is used to resolve or improve any physical or
emotional issues , destructive thought patterns or forms of behaviour. It
involves tapping on points along the body’s meridian system (the system used in
acupuncture), and while tapping on the points you bring to mind physical symptoms or
negative memories. This helps to release life stresses or physical issues from
the body’s energy system and allows it to return to emotional and physical
health.
The resulting
feelings of calm and release are in actual fact altering brain function (as
seen on digital brain scans during treatment). EFT is akin to acupressure for
the emotions. It is said that 1 hour of EFT is equivalent to 100 hours of
traditional talk therapy.
